Bed Bug protests rocks University of Lagos
The protest which started from Marire hall to New hall comprising of Sodeinde hall, Eni Njoku,Makama Bida hall, madam tinubu hall, Fagunwa hall. The female halls failed to join the protest because they were not allowed out Sodeinde being the Front of any protest as usual was the first point of call for the protesters, after Minutes of argument with security, hall executives,the gate was finally opened for sodeindites to join the protest. Bed bug as We know is a daily companion but what seem to have broken the carmel's back is an incident where a Marire resident "Balubite" screamed from sleep, and his room mates discovered over 100 bugs over his body and bed, this was a major Fuel to this bug.
Protesters who spoke under condition of anonymity claimed that "Sniper" had become a daily routine before sleep, one of such respondents claimed that his room mate was recently rushed to medical centre because he could not breathe properly because of the smell of "Sniper" from investigation Bed buds have immunity from "sniper" as they are very much resistant to it power.
One can not but wonder the efficacy of the last Fumigation, as it seemed to have strengthen bed bugs, little wonder why Sodeinde hall of residence has a debating topic as "The recent Fumigation has done more Harm than good! The school management must rise to the occasion and ask the contractor Why they chose to mix too much water to their chemical and also why they chose to be Fradulent, for many weeks after fumigation the smell continued but it was not effective: rooms without bed bugs became infested with bugs.

BlackBerry confirms Android phone 'Priv' will be launched this year
BlackBerry confirmed that rumors of its firstAndroid device, called Priv, are accurate. In the company's latest earnings report, CEO John Chen said that the smartphone "combines the best of BlackBerry security and productivity with the expansive mobile application ecosystem available on the Android platform." It'll arrive by the end of 2015 "in major markets in-store and online," and Blackberry will reveal other details like specs and price within the next few weeks. So far, rumors indicate that it'll have a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge-like curved screen, QWERTY keyboard slider and 18-megapixel camera. Despite the company's turn toward Android, Chen said it "remains committed to the BlackBerry 10 OS," and will release version 10.3.3 in March, 2016.
BlackBerry is obviously hoping the new phone is a hit, as sales continue to fall. Revenue for the quarter ending in August was a disappointing $490 million, a little more than half of what it was this time in 2014. However, the company still had enough cash to purchase Good Technology earlier this month for $425 million, and said it increased its cash balance by $37 million during the quarter. It still posted a bigger-than-expected loss, though, so a lot is riding on its new Android strategy and the oddly-named Priv handset.

Mr. Ibu who was a special guest on Starr Chat with Bola Ray on Starr 103.5FM Wednesday said although he was already sold out by this friend, he managed to escape by the “Help of God.
“This is something I haven’t spoken about anywhere,” he told Bola Ray.

Two college football players shot dead outside house party
Two University of Utah football players were seriously wounded Saturday night after being shot outside a Salt Lake City house party. Salt Lake City cops say 2 men -- both U of U players -- were shot following an altercation with 3 men who were denied entry into a party. Both men are in the hospital, in stable condition. The victims are sophomore tight end Lo Falemaka and freshman running back Marcel Brooks-Brown. Both players should make a full recovery. Cops are stumped as to the identity of the 3 suspects.

Crane Collapse at mosque in mecca kills 107 people days before hajj
A construction crane crashed through the roof of the Grand Mosque in Mecca, killing 107 people and casting a grim shadow on a yearly pilgrimage that draws millions to Saudi Arabia.
At least 238 others suffered injuries when a powerful storm toppled the crane, according to the nation's civil defense authorities.
The crane fell 10 days before the start ofthe Hajj, an annual pilgrimage expected to bring 2 million people to Mecca.
The mosque is the largest in the world and surrounds Islam's holiest site known as the Kaaba.

Brymo isn't pleading to join Chocolate City
A rejoinder by Joey AKan to Tony Kan‘s plea to President of Chocolate City Group, Audu Maikori, to recall the singer into his fold
Mr Toni Kan, I read your article like a child, sucks on his favorite lollipop; enthusiastic and happy. With beautiful words, and extra lyrical perception and understanding, you have opened the eyes of many to ‘Purple Jar’, a song which has one of the best melodies to have come out of Nigeria. Thank you for this. Also, I thank you for your good heart, which seeks to improve the lot of Brymo by recommending him back into a ‘larger and efficient’ setup, for his music to thrive. This is selfless, and the industry currently needs more of this beneficial moves.
But Mr Kan, in the specifics of your argument, I disagree on your fine points. Brymo does not need Chocolate City. He is fine. He is successful, and he is flying, way higher than he would have flown had he been manacled to Chocolate City.
First, Uncle Toni, your plea to Audu Maikori, as convincing and emotional as it sounds, is late. It is, by empirical calculations, 2 years late. Brymo made the decision to leave Chocolate City after seeing his career stagnate, and begin to hit a low. His sound was skewed for pop commercial profits, and as a creative soul, his inner harmony which gives him the ability to stay in love with his singing was lost.
He left because he was dissatisfied and lost.
After Brymo’s departure from the group, the legal case which ensued was lethal enough to kill a man, his dreams, and most importantly, his hope. With running legal battle, injunctions, intrigue and debilitating drama, the embattled soul kept his wit about himself, focused on his music, and released what can arguably be called the best album Nigeria can boast of in the past decade – “Merchants, Dealers & Slaves,” which contains timeless records such as ‘Eko’, ‘Purple Jar’, and ‘Down’.
This was nothing short of super human. After hitting a low, he dropped that album, which not only put him back on the map, but also did skyrocket his brand.
The ubiquitous story of the prodigal son in Luke 15:11-32 is an age-old pointer to the goodness that mankind has the potential to exhibit. Forgiveness is hard, and acceptance is nigh on impossible for today’s generation of self-serving people. And in the case of Brymo, this analogy, technically does not apply.
The story of the prodigal son has no alternative. What would have happened if the departing son was astute with money, and prudently applied his share of the wealth he was bequeathed? What if he became a success, set up shop, and led a life worthy of emulation, filled with happiness and prosperity.
Would this analogy still apply?

Apple Unveils Ipad pro, Iphones, revamps Apple TV
Apple unveiled its largest-ever iPad, upgraded iPhones, and a new Apple TV set-top box at a glitzy event in San Francisco's Bill Graham Civic Auditorium Wednesday.
“Today, we have the biggest news in iPad since the iPad,” said Apple CEO Tim Cook, unveiling the iPad Pro. “This is the most capable and powerful iPad we have ever created.”
The iPad Pro has a 12.9-inch screen, significantly larger than the 9.7-inch screen on the iPad Air 2.

Angelina Jolie voices out on ISIS' use of sexual violence
Angelina Jolie spoke before British parliament Tuesday expressing her concern over ISIS' use of sexual violence.
The actress gave an update on the progress the Sexual Violence in Conflict Committee has made, and said ISIS is rape against women and children "in a way we've never seen before."
The actress and human rights ambassador appeared at the House of Lords committee alongside former foreign secretary William Hague to discuss their Preventing Sexual Violence Initiative, which the pair launched three years ago.
"The most aggressive terrorist group in the world today knows what we know; knows that it is a very effective weapon and are using it as a centerpoint of their terror and their way of destroying communities and families and attacking, destroying and dehumanizing," she told the House of Lords committee, according to the Guardian.
"This is what is beyond something we have seen before. This is actually put into their policy," she said. "They are saying: 'we should do this, this is the right way to build a society, so we tell you to rape.'"
Jolie recalled meeting a 13-year-old Iraqi girl who had, along with her friends, been repeatedly raped.
"The most important thing is to understand what it’s not: it’s not sexual, it’s a violent, brutal, terrorizing weapon and it is used unfortunately, everywhere," she said.
