42 year old proprietor rapes 4 years old girl in Nassarawa

A four-year-old girl identified only as Choice, has revealed how she was allegedly raped by the proprietor of her school, Mr. Elias Oyeke.
The little girl told one of our correspondents that 42-year-old Oyeke, who is the Proprietor of Victory International School, Mararba, Nasarawa State, raped her on several occasions and then told her not to tell anyone or she would get into trouble.
Choice, who is a nursery one pupil, said Oyeke told her that if her parents found out that she had lost her virginity, she should tell them that it was her male colleague who is also four-years-old that was responsible.
The victim said, “Uncle Elias spread my legs, covered my mouth and told me to shut up. He will put me on a chair and lap me and he will start doing it. He will  then give me sweets.”
The mother of the victim, Esther, said she started suspecting something was amiss when her daughter insisted that she would not allow anyone to bathe her sometime in February.
Esther said one day, she insisted that she would bathe her and that was when she discovered severe injuries around Choice’s private parts.
She said her daughter initially lied that it was her classmate, Gabriel, that forcefully penetrated her and so she took her daughter to the school the next day.
While fighting back tears, Esther said, “I usually dropped my daughter at school around between 7am and 7.25am, before school resumed proper and I always handed her over to Mr. Elias. However, after some time, my daughter started behaving strangely as she prevented me from bathing her.
“I didn’t know that she was acting under the instructions of Elias. One day, I insisted that I must bathe her so I forced her legs open and while I was washing there, she started crying and screaming in pain.
“When her father got back, I opened her private part and saw that it was wide and very red. I knew that she could not have sustained such an injury at home so I took her to the school the next morning to confront Mr. Elias. Elias began to shake but denied knowledge of what happened.”
Esther said Elias urged her not to tell anyone so as not to tarnish the image of his school and then took them to a pharmacy.
Esther added, “On getting to the pharmacy, we were told that it was impossible for a four-year-old boy to do such damage to the girl’s private part. At the pharmacy, I kept on asking my daughter who injured her but she would just look at Elias and keep quiet.
“Then, I began to suspect that he knew something. I then took my daughter away and asked her to tell me the truth. She finally confessed that it was the school proprietor that had been raping her.
“Choice said Elias started by putting his fingers in her vagina. She said anytime it was time for break, Elias would take her to the school’s backyard, take off her pants, put her on a chair and start having sex with her. He usually gave her sweets. After doing it, he cleaned her up with a red handkerchief.”
It was learnt that the victim was subsequently taken to two hospitals where it was confirmed that she had been defiled.
A copy of the doctor’s report signed by Dr.Nwabueze Daniel of the Nyanya General Hospital, read in part, “On vaginal examination of the four-year-old girl, there is a sign of penetration as the hymen is not intact. It is a case of rape.”
The father of the victim, Pedro, who is a security guard, said he reported the matter at the Mararba Police Station.
He, however, said he was not satisfied with the manner the police handled the matter as the suspect was released on bail before he was re-arrested and taken to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Lafia.
Speaking with journalists at his Abuja office, the lawyer of the family, Mr. S. O Onoja (SAN), called on the police authorities to transfer the case to the Office of the Inspector-General of Police’s Monitoring Unit, Abuja.
Onoja said it was unfortunate that policemen could demand money from his client despite being the victim. He also urged the Nasarawa government to shut the school immediately.
The Police Public Relation Officer, Nasarawa state police command, ASP IsmailaUmaruNuman, on Friday confirmed the incident in a telephone interview.
“The command is aware of the case and the suspect had since been charged to court for prosecution and after which he was remanded in Lafia prison,” he added.

French MPs have passed a law that makes it illegal to pay for sex and imposes fines of up to €3,750 (£3,027, $4,274) for those buying sexual acts, reports the BBC.   Those convicted would also have to attend classes to learn about the conditions faced by prostitutes. It has taken more than two years to pass the controversial legislation because of differences between the two houses of parliament over the issue. Some sex workers protested against the law during the final debate. The demonstrators outside parliament in Paris, numbering about 60, carried banners and placards one of which read: “Don’t liberate me, I’ll take care of myself”, the AFP news agency reports. Members of the Strass sex workers’ union say it will affect the livelihoods of prostitutes, estimated to number between 30,000 and 40,000. But supporters of the law have said it will help fight trafficking networks. It will also make it easier for foreign prostitutes to get a temporary residence permit in France if they agree to find jobs outside prostitution. “The most important aspect of this law is to accompany prostitutes, give them identity papers because we know that 85% of prostitutes here are victims of trafficking,” Socialist MP Maud Olivier, who sponsored the legislation, told the Associated Press news agency. The law was passed in the final vote on the bill in the lower house of parliament by 64 to 12 with 11 abstentions, France’s Le Monde newspaper reports. It supersedes one from 2003 that penalised sex workers for soliciting. Correspondents say the predominantly right-wing Senate has been opposed to the ban – and parliamentary debates have often ended in deadlock. Those found guilty for paying for sex will have to pay a first time fine of 1,500 euros, which will more than double for a repeat offence. Sweden was the first country to criminalise those who pay for sex rather than the prostitutes. Swedish authorities say the number of women on the streets in the prostitution area in Stockholm has fallen since the legislation was introduced.

Here he lay on his partly covered bed like a log of wood. He rolled like a stone that gathers no moss. At about 7.30, an alarm went off in his head. Yawning and Stretching lazily, he arose from his slumber with a slight headache and a feeling of nausea; A hangover___The result of his excessive drinking the previous night. Used to the symptoms already as every pregnant woman was used to morning sickness. He took off his pajamas and went through a pile of clothes on the floor by his bed, searching for something to throw on. He was about to step out.

Walking down the street, he exchanged pleasantries with almost everyone he came across; His Peeps. He had know 'em, since he was a lad.
'Uncle Taofeek!' A voice called. He turned to see who it was. It was Bintu, The Food Vendor's daughter.
'Bintu, how are you? " Taofeek smiled broadly.
'I'm fine, Sir. Mama said I should call you to come check the freezer.' Bintu said.
'What's the matter with the freezer?' He enquired.
'I don't know o.'
'Tell her I'll come in the afternoon.'

Alas! He arrived at the Newspaper Stand at the bus-stop. The sound of slapping handshakes filled the air. The boys gathered around him, hailing him in loud voices, as it was their tradition. Soon, they were back to the papers. As usual, they'd skipped the editorial on Politics and Crime, glanced through Lifestyle and Entertainment Gists and headed to the Sports section, reading through it with undivided attention. Of course, Unnecessary arguments were the order of the day. They chatted with reckless abandon, mimicking their favorite sport personalities.     It was on one of those evenings, I had just gotten to my Sharwarma Stand. Humming some soft tunes unintelligibly. I had this gut feeling, something good was going to come my way. "Lots of customers", I almost exclaimed.

    I set out to put my stand in order. Sauting my marinated chicken, I took a cursory glance at the already setting sun. To my utmost surprise, it was smiling  down at me. " OMG",I screamed.

    My first customers were a couple. There was something strikingly obvious about the duo, they were so much in love with each other. The way they giggled as they walked back to their car left me saying, "I go love o".

   Taking momentary glances down the road from time to time,I flashed my  cutest smile at anyone who cared to look in my direction. My cool way of advertising to my prospective customers.

    It was getting dark outside now. The Sun had handed over to the moon. I could not see the faces of people walking down the road anymore. The feeling had not fizzled out. It grew stronger at every passing minute.

    It was now an hour to midnight. I was getting ready to close for the day. Suddenly, I thought, I saw a halo above a figure. "I must have been hallucinating", I said to myself. My eyes,which had officially gained its freedom from me,much earlier in the day,took a quick glance down the road. Alas! It was a human figure with a halo. I looked on in awe. As the figure walked gracefully down the road.

    Closer and closer,The figure was moving into my visual range." It's a lady ",I screamed in my mind. She drew nearer and nearer. " Is she heading for my stand?" Then, our eyes met. I was blown away. Still lost in admiration of the being approaching. "Hi,Mister. Have you closed for the day", her rich contralto filled my senses.

Lola Rainbow, Iya rainbow's daughter dies of ulcer attack

This is definitely not the best of time for veteran Yoruba actress, Idowu Philips popularly known as Iya Rainbow. She lost her daughter into the cold hands of death last week.
The lady known as Lola was confirmed dead at Tomade Hospital, a private health Centre in Ojodu Berger Metropolitan area of Lagos.

According to what we gathered, Lola suffered from Ulcer attack at exactly 11:45 pm on the 14th of January and she was rushed to the hospital by her husband known as Osborne before she was declared dead the next morning.

She was said to be planning to get out of Nigeria to the United States of America before she met her waterloo.

May her soul rest in peace.

Religion- Pastor Adeboye rescues 100 Undergraduates from Cultism

At the just concluded Campus Holy Ghost service, over 100 undergraduates of theUniversity of Ibadan and the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife renounced cultism, Punch reports.

During preaching, the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG lead pastor scolded students involved in cultism and encouraged them to come out of the congregation and give their lives to Christs.

“I want those of you who have been deceived into joining any cult group to come forward and my God will set you free.

"Come now, I want to pray for you, the Lord wants to set you free. Come and be free, come to the one who can set you free,” the pastor said.

Spokesperson of OAU, Abiodun Olanrewaju, however said that it is possible that not all the students who repented where from the University as students from other institution attended the service.

“Some students came from different higher institutions for the service. Some of them hearkened to the call of God made by Baba Adeboye.

“We are happy that youths of this country are renouncing cultism and embracing God. It shows that there is a bright future for this country. We are happy and I am sure the people of Nigeria are happy about this,” he said.
